The ultimate easy chocolate- walnut fudge

I was craving for something absolutely chocolatey. I decided on making chocolate fudge with walnuts. I had read this Paula Deen’s ultimate chocolate peanut fudge recipe. I decided to try the same with just one change. I replaced the peanuts with walnuts. The fudge was absolutely adorable and it hardly took any time to make. So without any further story telling, here is the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semi sweetened chocolate chips
  • 1/2 can (7oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Procedure:
Grease an 8 inch square baking dish with butter, oil or cooking spray.Line it with wax paper leaving the edges of the wax paper to hang around the edges of the baking dish.
Heat the milk and chocolate chips in a heavy botomed saucepan on low heat.
Add the butter and keep stirring it nicely until the entire chocolate melts.
Toss in the walnuts, and add the vanilla extract and salt.
Turn of the stove and using a spatula spread the mixture on the bottom of the prepared dish.
Cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm, atleast for 4 hours.
Then cut using a hot dry knife cut into desired shapes.

Yum
