Ribbon pakoda is an easy to make Diwali or festive snack. But we don’t need the excuse of a festival to make something deliciously crunchy as this. Make it ahead of time and it serves as a wonderful tea time snack!
Ingredients:
2 cups- Rice flour
1 cup- besan (gram flour)
2 teaspoon -chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon asafetida
2 tablespoons melted butter
Salt as per taste
Oil for frying

Method:
Take a mixing bowl and add rice flour, gram flour, asafetida, salt, chill powder and butter. Knead it into a soft but firm and non sticky dough adding little water at time.
Now heat oil in a kadai or frying pan.
Fill a chakli press/sev sancha with the ribbon pakoda plate with the prepared dough and press the dough into the hot oil in a circular fashion. Fry till the pakodas turn crisp. At the point the bubbles in the oil cease and the oil sound reduces.
Drain on paper towel. Cool and store in air tight containers. Enjoy a bite with your evening cup of tea or coffee!
